Linux Foundation Training Scholarship 2026 Guide

This is one of the biggest and most valuable scholarship programs in the open source world. Every year, the Linux Foundation awards 500 scholarships worth millions of dollars in professional training and certifications ,completely free for selected recipients.

What is the LiFT Scholarship Program?

The LiFT Scholarship removes financial barriers for people who want to build skills in open source technologies. Since 2010, the Linux Foundation has given out over 3,750 scholarships. The program was renamed in honor of Shubhra Kar, the late CTO of the Linux Foundation.

Awardees receive full access to paid Linux Foundation courses and one certification exam ,training that normally costs thousands of dollars.
