Google Launches Free 5-Day AI Agents Intensive to Help Developers Master Agentic Systems

Google is back with another global AI learning experience — the 5-Day AI Agents Intensive Course, happening from November 10 to 14, 2025.
After the huge success of last year’s Generative AI Intensive, which drew over 420,000 learners worldwide, this new series takes things further — focusing on how to build, evaluate, and deploy intelligent AI agents.

🤖 What Is the 5-Day AI Agents Intensive?

The AI Agents Intensive is a no-cost online course developed by Google’s machine learning researchers and engineers.
It’s designed for developers, data scientists, and AI enthusiasts who want to understand and build agentic systems — AI models capable of autonomous decision-making and action.

You’ll learn everything from the architectures and tools that power AI agents to memory, evaluation, and deployment strategies.
By the end, you’ll be equipped to build agents that go beyond large language models (LLMs) and into production-ready, multi-agent systems.

📚 How the Intensive Works

Each day of the course includes structured learning materials, discussions, and hands-on sessions to help you master core topics at your own pace.

🧠 What’s Included:

  • Daily Assignments:
Access whitepapers, podcasts (via NotebookLM), and codelabs to explore the day’s theme.
  • Discord Discussions:
Join the Kaggle Discord server to discuss concepts, share progress, and get insights from Google experts.
  • Livestream Seminars & AMAs:
Tune in daily on Kaggle’s YouTube channel for live sessions, deep dives, and Q&A with the course authors.
  • Capstone Project (Optional):
Build your own AI agent using Google’s Agent Development Kit (ADK) and compete for Kaggle badges, swag, and recognition on Google’s and Kaggle’s social channels.

Assignments take about 1–2 hours per day, with 45–60 minute live sessions.

📅 Daily Course Topics

Day 1: Introduction to Agents & Agentic Architectures
Understand what makes AI agents different and how they fit into modern intelligent systems.

Day 2: Agent Tools & Interoperability with MCP
Learn how agents use tools and APIs through the Model Context Protocol (MCP).

Day 3: Context Engineering & Memory Management
Explore how to give agents short- and long-term memory for multi-turn interactions.

Day 4: Agent Quality: Observability, Logging, Tracing & Evaluation
Discover how to monitor and evaluate your agent’s performance.

Day 5: Prototype to Production
Deploy your agent using best practices and build multi-agent systems with Agent2Agent (A2A) Protocol.

🧩 Recommended Skills

To get the most from the course, it’s helpful to have:

  • 🐍 Basic Python programming knowledge.
  • 💡 Understanding of AI fundamentals such as LLMs and prompt engineering.
  • ⚙️ Familiarity with Google AI Studio and Kaggle Notebooks.

If you’re new to AI, Google recommends starting with the 5-Day Generative AI Intensive course first.

🏆 Capstone Project & Recognition

The Capstone Project launches on November 14, 2025, and submissions are due by November 30, 2025 (11:59 PM PT).

Your task:
Build an AI agent demonstrating at least three features from the course using the Agent Development Kit (ADK).
Include a Kaggle write-up, short video, and your project code.

  • ✅ All participants receive a Kaggle profile badge.
  • 🥇 Top 10 winners earn exclusive Kaggle swag and are featured on Google’s and Kaggle’s social media.

🌐 How to Join

There’s no cost to participate — you just need:

  • A Kaggle account (with verified phone number).
  • A Google AI Studio account (available in select regions: AI Studio Availability).

Once registered, you’ll receive the daily coursework via email and Discord.

Note: Certain tools (like Gemini API and Kaggle Notebooks) are unavailable to users in Iran, Syria, Crimea, Cuba, and North Korea, and participants must be 18 years or older.

🧑‍💻 Built by Google’s AI Research Team

This course was developed by a large group of Google ML researchers and engineers, including:
