Empowering Women in Tech
The Technical University of Mombasa proudly brings to its audience the introduction of the Young Women in Tech Mentorship Program. It is here to empower and mentor female persons with passion and interest in career paths concerning the technology area. This is an inspiring and enriching experience for ladies at whatever stage they are on their journey into tech by Veliswa Boya, Senior Developer Advocate at AWS.
Who is this program for?
The mentorship program is extended to women even outside the institution as a way of capturing all prospective professionals in technology, whether at the Technical University of Mombasa or otherwise. This course will be channeled toward the provision of necessary support and insight relevant to unique needs, whatever one’s stage may be in beginning or elevating their career in technology.
Program Overview
The mentorship sessions will be conducted online, making it accessible to participants from all over. Each session will run for two hours every Saturday starting on January 25, 2025. During the sessions, Veliswa Boya and other guest experts will guide participants through important topics, including:
- Navigating Technology Roles: Learn about different roles in the tech industry and how to prepare for them effectively.
